Best Presentation Award Programme at the SCS Fall Meeting

For generations of young chemists trained at Swiss universities, the SCS Fall Meeting has offered an exceptional opportunity to present their research. 

Prizes are awarded for the Best Oral and Poster Presentations in each thematic parallel session, based on the recommendations of the award juries. The main evaluation criteria are the scientific quality and originality of the research, as well as the quality of the presentation itself.

These two awards are among the most highly remunerated of their kind, and the Awards Ceremony held at the end of the Fall Meeting is one of the event's highlights.

Best Oral Presentation Awards

Financed by the Metrohm Foundation (Metrohm Stiftung), the prize is awarded for the two best short presentations in each parallel session. The winner receives a CHF 1’000 Swiss Chemistry Travel Award, a cash prize of CHF 500, and an invitation to present the award-winning research in the Laureates Isssue (04) of CHIMIA.

The runners-up receive a cash prize of CHF 400.

Best Poster Presentation Awards

The prizes are awarded for the best posters presented in each parallel session. The winner receives a CHF 750 Swiss Chemistry Travel Award, a cash prize of CHF 200, and an invitation to present the award-winning research in the Laureates Issue (04) of CHIMIA. 

The runners-up receive a cash prize of CHF 200.
