Best Presentation Award Program at the SCS Fall Meeting

For generations of young chemists trained at Swiss universities, the SCS Fall Meeting has been a great platform to present their research. 

For each of the thematic parallel sessions, the best oral- and poster-presenters receive prizes based on the recommendation of the award juries. The main criteria are the scientific quality and originality of the research, plus the quality of the presentation. These two award programs are among the most highly renumerated of their kind, and the Award Ceremony at the end of the Fall Meeting marks one of the highlights of the event.

Best Oral Presentation Awards

Financed by the Metrohm Foundation (Metrohm Stiftung), the prize is granted for the two best short presentations of each parallel session. The winner receives a 1’000 CHF Swiss Chemistry Travel Award, a 500 CHF cash contribution, and the invitation to present the award-winning research in the Laureates Isssue (04) of CHIMIA.

The runners-up receive a cash contribution of 400 CHF.

Best Poster Presentation Awards

Financed by dsm-firmenich, the prizes are given for the best posters of each parallel session. The winner receives a 750 CHF Chemistry Travel Award, a 200 CHF cash contribution, and the invitation to present the award-winning research in the Laureates Issue (04) of CHIMIA

The runners-up receive a cash contribution of CHF 200.
