Best Presentation Award Programme

For generations, the SCS Fall Meeting has provided young chemists from Swiss universities and the Swiss Federal Institutes of Technology with a unique platform to showcase their research to the scientific community.

Awards are presented for the best oral and the best poster contributions in each thematic session, based on the recommendations of independent award juries. Evaluations are based on scientific quality, originality, and impact of the research, as well as clarity and effectiveness of the presentation.

Among the most generously endowed awards of their kind, these distinctions highlight outstanding scientific achievement. The Awards Ceremony, held at the conclusion of the Fall Meeting, is a longstanding highlight of the event.

Financed by the Metrohm Foundation (Metrohm Stiftung), the prize is awarded for the two best short presentations in each parallel session. The winner receives a CHF 1’000 Swiss Chemistry Travel Award, a cash prize of CHF 500, and an invitation to present the award-winning research in the Laureates Isssue (04) of CHIMIA.

The runners-up receive a cash prize of CHF 400.

The prizes are awarded for the best posters presented in each parallel session. The winner receives a CHF 750 Swiss Chemistry Travel Award, a cash prize of CHF 200, and an invitation to present the award-winning research in the Laureates Issue (04) of CHIMIA. 

Swiss Chemistry Travel Award
Through the «Chemistry Travel Award», contributions towards the cost of participation at an international conference in the chemical sciences are granted to selected PhD students. The award is sponsored by the Platform Chemistry of the SCNAT and the Swiss Chemical Society.

The runners-up receive a cash prize of CHF 200.
