Award Programs

The SCS Foundation is currently supporting three programs:

Chemistry Travel Award
This program facilitates the participation of selected PhD students at an international conference in the chemical sciences. The award program is financed jointly by the Platform Chemistry of the SCNAT and the Swiss Chemical Society.
The awardees and the conference they attended are listed in CHIMIA.

The Swiss Chemical Society Fall Meeting Best Presentation Awards
For generations of young chemists trained at Swiss universities, the SCS Fall Meeting has been a great platform to present their research.
For each of the thematic parallel sessions, the best oral- and poster-presenters receive prizes based on the recommendation of the award juries. The main criteria are the scientific quality and originality of the research, plus the quality of the presentation. These two award programs are among the most highly renumerated of their kind, and the Award Ceremony at the end of the Fall Meeting marks one of the highlights of the event.
