Mission Statement
The purpose of the SCS Foundation is to promote research and education in the natural sciences, in particular in the fields of chemistry and biochemistry. It supports various Scholarship-, Award- and Mentoring-Programmes. The programmes of the SCS Foundation are financed by donations from companies and private donors. There is no political or religious bias.

Programmes
- The Alfred Werner Excellence Scholarship Programme supportes outstanding international students pursuing Master’s studies in chemistry, biochemistry and pharmaceutical sciences in Switzerland.
- The SCS Mentoring Programme provides MSc students, PhD candidates and postdoctoral researchers with guidance and perspectives from experienced professionals.
- The Best Presentation Award Programme, presented during the Swiss Chemical Society Fall Meeting, recognises the authors of the most outstanding scientific presentations and posters.
